Bruce Randolph Tizes, MD, JD, is a graduate of Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law (JD), the Chicago Medical School (MD) and Yale University School of Medicine / School of Public Health (MPH expected May 2021). TIzes served as Lead Editor for the Yale Journal of Health Policy, Law, and Ethics, and has worked in medicine for more than thirty years. Tizes was recently the Medical Director, Indian Health Service, Tribal Emergency Medicine, caring for the Oglala Lakota on the Pine Ridge Reservation. He has also worked in Emergency Medicine with the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians for more than 10 years. Tizes is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (UK) and the Edmund Hillary Fellowship (New Zealand) for global social impact.
