Kyirsty Unger is a registered nurse who works in two level 1 trauma centers in Portland, Oregon in an Adult and Pediatric emergency department and in the Burn ICU.  She also works in an outpatient wound clinic specializing in burn wounds and hyperbaric medicine. She has volunteered both locally and internationally for over 10 years in a variety of settings including rural clinic development and public health projects in the Santa Barbara region in Honduras, disaster relief after Hurricane Katrina, Pediatric clinic at a children’s hostel in Northern India, hospital support for Syrian refugees in Istanbul, Turkey, and more recently has worked with Global Outreach Doctors to provide trauma stabilization and care in Mosul, Iraq.
Kyirsty has a strong interest in supporting global nursing empowerment, sustainable healthcare partnerships, and providing access to high quality healthcare.
